La banda británica Christie se formó a finales de los 60, el éxito llegó con el tema ‘Yellow River’ (1970), canción compuesta para The Tremeloes. Éstos la rechazaron porque les pareció un pop muy alejado al habitual en su repertorio.
La aceptación fue magnífica en Europa, alcanzó la primera posición de Noruega, Holanda, Irlanda, Noruega y Reino Unido (logrando entrar en las listas de éxitos de muchos países, incluido Estados Unidos, dónde consiguió el puesto nº 23).
Yo personalmente lo recuerdo mucho, era uno de los temas que mas se ponia en las discos, seguro que a mas de uno le trae muy buenos recuerdos.
