The Equals grupo britanico fundado en 1967, Eddy Grant como cantante y guitarrista, Dervin Gordon guitarrista, Pat Lloyd bajista y John Hall bateria . The Equals grabaron "Black Skinned Blue Eyed Boys" al final de su etapa, alcanzando este el Top 10. Y, en 1971, ocurrió lo inesperado, Eddy Grant sufrió un ataque al corazón debido a su agitado horario y el grupo se disolvio, una vez recuperado Eddy siguio su carrera en solitario.
